What to do in Newport

Studying in Newport

Boasting a diverse culture and rich history, Newport makes for a great place to study.

The city is currently going through a multi-billion pound regeneration programme, which has seen it recognised as the seventh fastest growing economy in the UK.

In addition, The University of Wales at Newport is expanding with a new £35million campus. Built on the banks of the River Usk, it opened its doors for the first time on 10th January 2011. Passionate about the student experience, the University’s mission is: ‘To inspire and enable individuals, organisations and communities to succeed through innovation in high quality learning, research and enterprise.’
