Kingsway Centre is awarded safer parking ‘ParkMark®’ accreditation
The car park at Kingsway Centre has been awarded the ‘ParkMark®’ accreditation by the British Parking Association, making it the only shopper car park in Newport to hold this accreditation.
The coverted 'Park Mark®' Safer Parking Scheme is an initiative of the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and is aimed at reducing both crime and the fear of crime in parking facilities.
By choosing the Kingsway Centre’s ‘Park Mark®’ Safer Parking facility, customers are visiting a car park that has been assessed by the BPA and the Police on a wide range of safety and security requirements, and has measures in place designed to create and maintain a safe environment for both visitors and their vehicles.
Michael Hine, Centre Manager, commented, “We’re delighted to have been awarded the ‘ParkMark®’ award by the BPA. It reaffirms our long term commitment to providing a safer parking environment for our customers, and actively promotes the benefit of shopping at the Kingsway Centre, and indeed the city centre of Newport.”
The car park still offers 2 hours free parking (Mon-Sat, 7am-6pm) and a great value evening rate of just £1 from 6pm-midnight (Mon-Sun). For full parking details see our Parking at Kingsway page.
